Public WorksThe Public Works team is committed to continuing to serve Elgin Residents throughout the COVID19 Pandemic. In an effort to practice social distancing our crews are working alternate shifts. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our wastewater system operating – only flush toilet paper, never use the toilet as a trash can. Wipes, paper towels, napkins, hygiene items, diapers and other objects clog the pipes and will result in damage and functional delays to the system. Parks are crews are making rounds to each park, but normal routines may take a little longer with a limited staff. During this growing season you can expect the parks grass to be a little taller, but we will make our way to your neighborhood park soon. Park Restrooms and sport courts are closed until further notice.
