The calendar lets you view all items or you can select
a category, such as events, meetings, library or parks, etc. You can also sign up to get notifications when the calendar is updated and specify the types of events you want to know about.
September Saturday, September 8th- Community Clean-Up Day 8:30am Elgin Memorial Park Small Pavilion .
Registration is at 8:30am at the small pavilion. Clean up location will be assigned at check-in. Refreshments, grabbers, gloves, trash bags and volunteer vest provided.
Thursday, September 13th- Sip, Shop & Stroll 5-8pm in Historic Downtown Elgin

Stores stay open until 9pm, Live music, refreshments and Hogeye specials. Kendra Scott pop up at Rainey Real Estate.
Thursday, October 25th- Hogalicious Dessert Contest
6pm at Eva Mae's Kitchen
Put on your baking cap and apron and make a dessert (or two) to enter in the Hogalicious Dessert Contest. Desserts must fall into one of two categories; pies or cakes and be home baked (no store bought items. A Professional category is also available - check out the Hogeye Festival page to get a registration form.
Thursday, October 25th- Pearls Before Swine Art Show
Pearls showcases the Elgin area’s finest artists and brings together diverse and stimulating pieces of their work. The Opening Gala includes a silent auction, the proceeds go to the Pearls Before Swine Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are awarded by the Elgin Arts Association each year to Elgin-area graduating seniors who plan to continue studies in any of the arts including visual, music, theater, dance, creative writing, and more. Friday, October 26th- Hogeye FREE Street Dance
8pm-midnight on Depot Street. Featuring Kenny Orts and No Chance. Vendors providing food, and drinks will be available in addition to the carnival which will be open the same hours. You can also enjoy dinner downtown.
Saturday, October 27th- 31st Annual Hogeye Festival
The FREE festival features live music and entertainment on three stages , handmade arts and crafts, children’s activities, a children’s costume pet parade, a carnival, Road Hog Car Show, BBQ Pork Cook-Off, Hogalicious Dessert Contest, Cow Patty Bingo, the Pearls Before Swine Art Show and great festive food! Free Festival Shuttle available at the Hwy 95 North Park and Ride. See website for additional information.
Wednesday, October 31st- Safe Trick or Treat
6-8pm at Veterans Memorial Park & Downtown Elgin
Bring your trick or treaters to downtown for fun and free treats.
