  3. Hogalicious Dessert Contest

    October 26, 2017, 6:00 PM @ Eva Mae's Kitchen

    Put on your baking cap and apron and make a dessert (or two) to enter in the Hogalicious Dessert Contest. Desserts must fall into one of two categories; pies or cakes and be home baked (no store bought items. A Professional category is also available - check out the Hogeye Festival page to get a registration form.

  4. Pearls Before Swine Art Show

    October 26, 2017, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

    Pearls showcases the Elgin area’s finest artists and brings together diverse and stimulating pieces of their work. The Opening Gala includes a silent auction, the proceeds go to the Pearls Before Swine Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are awarded by the Elgin Arts Association each year to Elgin-area graduating seniors who plan to continue studies in any of the arts including visual, music, theater, dance, creative writing, and more.   5. Friday Night FREE Street Dance

    October 27, 2017, 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ Depot Street- Veteran's Memorial Park

    The Friday Night free street dance, bands include The Shop Dawgs and Sean Orr and The Texas Gold Band. These bands offer a variety of music – so whether you enjoy rock n roll or country and western you’re sure to hear some favorites throughout the evening. Vendors providing food, drinks, and beer sales from the Veterans of Foreign Wars will be available in addition to the carnival which will be open the same hours. You can also enjoy dinner downtown. The Free Street dance will be on Depot Street at Veterans Memorial Park.
