  1. Senior Bootcamp Aerobics with Elgin Parks & Recreation

    July 18, 2019, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM @ ERC - Studio / Activity Room

    Seniors! Join us at the Elgin Recreation Center Studio for a mental and physical work out at Senior Aerobics! Trainer Jennifer will cover a full body workout with weights, coordination, balance and cardio every Tuesday & Thursday from 10:30-11:30AM. **Senior Aerobics Instructor Jennifer Herring will be out of town July 16th, 18th and 30th, so substitute instructor Jennifer Carter will be leading a Senior Bootcamp/Aerobics Class those days. These classes will focus on body weight exercises and functional fitness.** Class schedule subject to change, please follow our Facebook for up to date class schedules.

    This night of socializing and hearing our seniors share their favorite stories and memories is sure to be fun for our whole community. Our seniors are a font of information and great tales, so we will host an evening where we can learn from our elders and get to know other members of our community!

  3. Water Aerobics

    Water Aerobics is a fitness class provided by the Elgin Parks & Recreation Lifeguards to get our community moving! Have a work out you'd like to see done during Water Aerobics? Tell a lifeguard! Our lifeguards spend time each week coming up with new and interesting work outs for our patrons and are happy to hear what you'd like to do! Water Aerobics Guidelines: - Participants cannot reserve space or equipment for anyone not present - Patrons must be at least 15 years of age - The instructor reserves the right to ask a participant to leave for refusal to follow the Guidelines - Put equipment away after use - No food or drinks allowed in the pool at any time - All participants must wear proper swim attire Please note: Time schedule for Water Aerobics is specifically for the Water Aerobics class. Anyone not participating in Water Aerobics will be asked to sit out or leave at lifeguard's discretion.
