Million Streets Drainage and Utility Project Underway
The
City of Elgin broke ground on the $2 million streets, drainage,
and utility project on June 3, 2008. The general contractor is
Austin Road and Bridge. During the year neighborhoods throughout
the community will experience disruption in daily activity as
utilities and streets are under construction.
Streets
for Phase I
work include: East 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th; Ballpark,
Louise, Ellis, Bill, Arthur, Carolina, Central, Canary, Brenham,
Church, West Austin, S. Ave D and N. Ave F from Lexington to East
8th.
