Teen Council

BaTeen Council Coming Soon!

In 2019 the Elgin Parks and Rec Dept would like to offer more programming specifically for teens and young adults. In order to do so, we are beginning a “Teen Council” where teens and young adults can come together to generate ideas for events that would cater uniquely to them, and work together as a team with the Elgin Parks Department to come up with the budget, itinerary, supplies, etc.

This would be the perfect opportunity for motivated, responsible teens to make a difference in their community while earning service hours and gaining work related experience. These meetings will occur twice at the Elgin Rec Center. To join this council, all teens need to do is email or stop by the Rec Center.
